AI will replace more women than men

A recent study by the McKinsey Global Institute reveals that artificial intelligence (AI) will disproportionately replace more female employees than male employees by 2030, particularly in industries traditionally dominated by women. The study predicts approximately 12 million occupational transitions in the US alone due to AI automation. Women are 1.5 times more likely than men to require transitioning into new occupations. Industries such as office support and customer service, which are often held by women, are most vulnerable to AI disruption. The report calls for a shift in hiring practices and the prioritization of skills and competencies over credentials.
